Henningsstraße
History
In the 1890s, new housing was developed on the northern end of Langfuhr (Wrzeszcz), creating 7 new streets and 128 new houses.
Henningstraße was one of these, named after the merchant Friedrich Hennings (1807-1893). Hennings was a wealthy merchant and one of the founding members of the National Museum.
Hennings lived at Langgarten 21, and you'll find a picture of his house in the pictures section of the street.
Today's name Ceglana translates to Brick Street.
