Kalkgasse

Named after the lime kiln built here and granted to the old town in 1399. The name has been in use since 1497. According to the 1591 property register, the northern side of Faulgraben was also included. According to the 1624 property register, the later Karrengasse (from 1904 = Am Jakobstor) was also included. It was not until the end of the 18th century that the name applied to the known area. After the war, it continued to exist for some time under the old name translated into Polish as ul. Wapienna, before being merged with Paradiesgasse during the redevelopment of the old town.
